DeTect’s cutting edge DroneWatcher® drone detection suite of systems being used to monitor for unauthorized activity during the event.
DeTect, Inc. is working in coordination with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Panama City Beach Police, and the Fire and Beach Safety Departments to offer Drone and Bird detection to improve the overall safety of the Air Show for patrons along beach, the Sherrif’s Office and the pilots flying the planes.
DeTect has developed a unique UAS finder and drone detection system, DroneWatcher®, consisting of
technologies that can operate independently or together to provide complete, multi-layer security and widearea
drone control.

The DeTect DroneWatcher® system is set up in Pier Park, and manned by DeTect staff during all hours of the Air
Show. This system consists of a 7360 True3D radar, mounted on a 55 ft trailer, coupled with a Multi-spectral
Camara and a Blue Halo – Titan SV which helps monitor the airspace for a broad range of Radio Frequency
signatures tracking commercial and tactical transmitters. Additional integrated systems are a Remote ID
receiving center and ADS-B receiving system, which identifies compliant aircraft. The system is monitored on the
DeTect DroneWatcher® Hub, which offers the operator with actionable information and system control.
“The City of Panama City Beach appreciates the tremendous support of the 2026 Gulf Coast Salute Air Show. The
safety of the pilots, our residents, guests, and business owners is our number one priority and we’re thankful for
the technology that DeTect, Inc. is providing for this world-class event.” Chief Ray Morgan Panama City Beach
Fire Chief.
